In Bucuresti exista 2 tipuri de statii de metrou, cu un singur peron (peron central - PC) si cu peroane laterale (PL). Tipul PC are doua subtipuri, cele cu stalpi de sustinere si cele fara.

Exista 3 statii de metrou PC fara stalpi de sustinere: Titan, Piata Muncii, si Dristor 2 (toate pe M1).
